We built calbytext to be simple and private by design. We collect as little data as possible and never sell it — to anyone, ever.

When you use calbytext, the following data is stored:
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, payment information, or any other personally identifying information through the calendar app itself.
Our hosting providers (Supabase and Vercel) may log standard technical information such as IP addresses and browser types as part of normal server operations. This is outside our direct control but governed by their own privacy policies.
The data we store is used solely to operate your calendar — displaying your activities, syncing them across devices, and allowing you to add or delete them. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond making the calendar work.
As the operator of Cal.By.Text, we have administrative access to the database where your calendar data is stored. This access may be used for purposes including technical support, troubleshooting, responding to data deletion requests, and understanding how the app is being used to improve it. We do not sell or share individual calendar data with any third parties for these purposes.

Your calendar data is retained for as long as your calendar is active. Deleted activities are kept for 30 days (so you can restore them if needed) before being permanently removed. If you request full deletion of your account, we will remove all associated data within 30 days.
Your calendar is accessed via a private link — a unique URL that acts as your credential. Anyone with your link can view and add to your calendar, so treat it like a password. We recommend not sharing it publicly.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a secured database with access controls. That said, no system is perfectly secure — please use calbytext for non-sensitive information.
calbytext is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used calbytext and you have concerns, contact us at team@calbytext.com.
If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of calbytext after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
